Wyoming County United Way Announces New Chief Executive Officer
The Board of Director’s of the Wyoming County United Way are pleased to announce that Connie S. Pheiff has accepted the position as the United Way’s new Chief Executive Officer. Pheiff will oversee all aspects of the United Way, including a volunteer-driven fundraising campaign, program development, budget analysis, and event planning. "Connie is a talented and respected leader with a spirit of service and a team approach,” said Sandra Boyle, president of the United Way Board of Directors. “She brings with her the experience that will fulfill the needs of the United Way at this important time."
Ms. Pheiff’s professional career includes 22-years experience managing for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Her diversified career portfolio includes work with organizations serving the needs of many different constituencies. Most recently, she served as President/CEO of Pheiff & Some, Inc., where she assisted nonprofits in achieving accountability in program operations, governance, financial management, fundraising practices and advocacy. Prior, she served as CEO for the Girl Scouts of Penn’s Woods Council, Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and United States Chamber of Commerce, Washington DC.
In addition to her extensive professional career, Connie gives back to the community serving on non-profit boards. She holds memberships in multiple organizations throughout Northeastern PA, including, Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Catherine McAuley House, Northeast PA Philharmonic, Pittston YMCA, National Association of Girl Scout Executives, and PA Association of Non-Profit Organizations.
"I am excited to join the United Way in this position because it fits my passion for service," Pheiff said. "I look forward to meeting and working with the Wyoming County community to help the United Way achieve its goals. I am anxious to meet current volunteers and encourage new ones to get involved."
The United Way is a nonprofit fundraising organization devoted to assisting 19 partner agencies that provide a variety of services promoting education, financial stability and independence, and better health for people in Wyoming County.
