Decision making is one of the most important aspects of our lives. One of the hardest choices we face is how to answer the many appeals from charities. We wish we could say “yes” to everyone, but we know it’s not possible to do so.
That is where the Wyoming County United Way can help. By contributing to the United Way, you are helping to address needs and improve lives throughout our entire community. United Way assesses community conditions and creates long-term, effective solutions to the most pressing needs.
The United Way works with more than 21 human services agencies in Wyoming County. These agencies help families build stronger economic futures, support survivors of domestic violence, provide job training, promote health screenings, school readiness programs, enrich the lives of older adults, feed the hungry and so much more—all leading to better opportunities for people throughout our county. United Way directs contributions where they’re most needed.
You should know that, thanks to efficiencies at the United Way, over 95% of each dollar contributed to the Wyoming County United Way goes directly to improving lives and strengthening our community. Few nonprofits can claim such a low level of overhead.
We hope you’ll join us in supporting the United Way. If you have questions about the campaign, please call the United Way office at 836-1661.
